Developed ten regional investment and implementation plans (across Qld, Tasmania, South Australia and Victoria) to upgrade agricultural industries, land, water and biodiversity management to achieve economic advancement and green growth.

Reviewed ECOBiz Program of Queensland Business Chamber then recommended strategies which grew market penetration of from 12 to 32%.

Drafted the Growth Strategy for ECOllaboration then provided governance to oversee its doubling of revenue, expansion of income sources plus a change in business model as part of transition from a non-profit to a social enterprise and regional umbrella organisation.

Undertook strategic regional development and business planning for Regional Development Australia Moreton Bay.

A national finalist in Economic Development Australia awards with Regional Development Australia Gold Coast for an information portal about how to use clean tech, ai and advanced manufacturing, in combination with ESG and credentialling schemes to enter new markets, reduce climate impacts and inequality

Introduced Australian tertiary sector reporting and benchmarking on sustainability, plus following the integration of climate and ecological resilience risks into institutions’ governance.

Assembled the evidence base for environmental markets and stewardship payments to 600 enterprises to shape the Great Barrier Reef Foundation investment and similar government schemes.

Guided the introduction of AI enabled assessments against sustainability aspects of the Australian Building Code.

Oversaw the incubation of an AI tool featured at COP28 that assesses the ecoefficiency and thermal comfort impact of innovative building materials.

Directed legal compliance, sustainability reporting, assessment and verification services solutions for over 2,000 development projects worth $250 million, for clients including BHP.

Recommended assessment methods and indicators for land, water and biodiversity to the Global Impact Investor Network

Feasibility assessment of carbon trading and offset scheme for Central Queensland.

Researched the economic and non-economic performance (social, economic and environmental feasibility factors) to be addressed in expanding Unity Water’s Recycled Water Scheme.

Oversaw the QUT Sustainability Precinct planning and enabled the integration of co-generation power plus other exemplars of building eco-efficiency gaining it a ranking in the top 70 of universities for sustainability.

Reviewed governance, modelling, monitoring and evaluation of pilot areas to inform the development of Australia Water Markets.

Oversaw the development and delivery of a Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade training program for women leaders of the Nepal and Bangladesh fashion industry covering empowerment, modern slavery, human rights, lifecycle impacts and circularity

I drove the development and contributed content to the Development of Business Resilience Course USQ 

Tripled co-investment for the Institute of Resilient Regions (from industry, business, government and non-profit organisations) through improved stakeholder relationship and project management

Advised Sustainable Economic Growth for Regional Australia on strategic positioning for garnering greater institutional and stakeholder support.

Instigated a prosperous partnership between Suncorp and Energy Lab to fund business innovation in energy efficiency, consumer savings and climate resilience.

Facilitated collaborations with the Carbon Disclosure Projects, the Packaging Stewardship Covenant, Food and Grocery Council of Australia and World Wide Fund For Nature to reduce energy, waste and water costs for QUT by thirty percent.

Led the research, development and policy advocacy of 30 business cases to inform a $90 million funding package from the Victoria Department for sustainable transport infrastructure, community well-being, nature markets and water catchment protection.

Represented industry in policy forums including the Australian Government Low Carbon Buildings Trajectory Working Group

Conducted rapid policy research and responses for the federal government on a range of policy issues including recovery from natural disasters, biofuels market, diesel/urea dependencies, and pursuing circular economies.

Identified implications of policy changes that preceded Council of Mayors resolutions on the National Reconstruction Fund and subsequent funding agreements with the federal government.

Provide briefings to local representatives, federal and state Ministers (including the current the then Qld Premier and Federal opposition leader) on regional sustainability and economic development issues in Moreton Bay.

Provided stakeholder briefings on suitability of current and future housing stock with respect to competitiveness, energy performance, thermal comfort and biodiversity.

Advocated to the Insurance Council of Australia and RACQ to upgrade the council’s and community preparedness to address climate impacts and regional resilience
